We are back! Join us as we shake off the rust and get back on the pottery wheels.  We are going to be covering the basics of clay. how to use the pottery wheels and some introductory hand building techniques.  From centering clay to trimming and handles we are going to cover it and get everyone back into the groove of making in a relaxed summer class.

Eyes Wide Open

Supplies needed for online course:

  • Digital SLR Camera

  • Tripod

  • Adobe Photoshop 5.5 or higher (you can also get a free trial for a month during our editing weeks)

  • Internet Access

  • Zoom Videoconferencing Software/App (free)

 

It’s that time of year! Let’s get outside and capture the world through the lens of our cameras. First, we will get (re)acquainted with the manual and semi-manual workings of our digital SLRs while photographing some new and interesting places. We will explore composition and might even break free from old habits to discover new ways of capturing our subjects. The last three weeks of the class will be spent editing in Adobe Photoshop. You will prepare 2 pieces for our class exhibition that will be installed at MCG.  The last night of class we will celebrate your work with an online Zoom reception open to the public.
